I would like to welcome everyone back for another year of choral masterworks.   Newcomers are in for a treat and we welcome you with open arms!

It never fails to amaze me how new and exciting works and musical adventures are always on the horizon.  Through one huge collective effort extending south to Winnipeg, West to Regina and East to Toronto, the Flin Flon Community Choir was able to produce one of the greatest musical productions of all time… EVITA!   Thank you so much to everyone who supported this project, be it dancer, soloist, choristers, musicians,  technicians, artists, tradesmen and women, set designers, costume designers, make-up artists, promoters and our faithful patrons who came to make 3 sell out shows.  Of course it goes without saying we couldn’t have done it at all without the constant support of the Flin Flon Arts Council, the Manitoba Arts Council, and Manitoba Culture Heritage Tourism and Sport.

We now launch into another great work, this time derived from the Classical world composed by Carl Orff.   It is none other than the fabulous CARMINA BURANA.  Be prepared for a thrilling experience.   Remember the power of Beethoven? Or the soaring sweet lines of Mozart?  Add some Slavic culture plus a touch of medieval story-line and you get adventure, fun, and great music in this 26 piece work. Also in our case we get  another opportunity to meet up with our good friends in the Saskatoon Symphony conducted by the wonderful Earl Stafford.  What could be better?

O Fortuna !   Another year with good friends and music.  Let the good times begin!
